NYC Intense Lip Color Review

NYC Intense Lip Color Review

To be honest I normally am content with just using chapstick for my lips. Most of the time I am just going to school or work so a bold lip isn't always appropriate. I decided I needed to start growing my lip product collection for special events or nights out. I wanted to try out a couple different drugstore products so I could figure out what works best for me. I picked out this NYC Intense Lip Color in Gramercy Park Plum.

This is an amazing berry color and it actually works perfect for my coloring! I really like this product because instead of a lipstick it is more like a crayon. The shape of the crayon works perfectly and lip liner isn't even needed with this. This is a twistable product which is nice and the formula is very creamy. It does last relatively well; I have worn it to dinner several times and it still has looked good when I returned home.

I purchased this at Target for $2.99 which was definitely worth it. This product is worth a try and comes in a range of colors. I would recommend this to anyone trying to incorporate some bolder lip colors into their makeup looks.

e.l.f. Mineral Primer Review

e.l.f. Mineral Primer Review

Personally, I feel that primer is an essential part of my routine if I intend for my makeup to last all day. I have tried many drugstore primers and the consistency of this one makes it a winner in my book! I have it in the Brightening Lavender but have had several of the original clear mineral primers in the past. These primers  just glide on so smooth and create the perfect base for your foundation.

I always start off my foundation routine by washing my face, using toner and moisturizing. I let my moisturizer soak in for at least five minutes before applying my primer. This primer absorbs really quickly and is super easy to apply. I love the formula which is designed to fill in fine lines and create a flawless finish. I would say that is does its job very well and it comes with a pump!

This is one of e.l.f.'s pricer products at $6.00 and it is available online here. For a primer this is a reasonable price and you really only need one pump to apply to your entire face. This product would be perfect for anyone who uses face primer on a daily basis. I highly recommend this!

Ogx anti-breakage keratin oil Review

Ogx anti-breakage keratin oil Review

I decided I want to give an Ogx shampoo and conditioner duo a try. I picked out the anti-breakage keratin oil shampoo and conditioner. I have very minimal breakage in my hair and I tend to choose anti-breakage shampoos and conditioners to keep it that way. I was excited to give these a try and my sister, who has very similar hair to mine, is a big fan of these products.

I have completely finished off the conditioner and have almost finished up the shampoo. I have to say I LOVE these products! I plan to repurchase very soon and I would like to try some of the other formulas. The shampoo is really rich and lathers like crazy. The conditioner is the perfect consistency, sort of thick but workable. I love a thick conditioner and I always apply it very generously because my hair is very thick and tangly. The scent of these products is heavenly, very light but it smells  awesome.

The products are available at Target for $5.69 each. I actually purchased mine at Rite Aid during a buy one get one free sale. This is one of the best anti-breakage shampoo and conditioner duos I have ever used and it left my hair smooth and shiny after every use. I would highly recommend these to anyone!

e.l.f. Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick Review

e.l.f. Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick Review

I have had these e.l.f. eyeshadow sticks for about a year now. I decide to give these a try one day when browsing at Target. I think to try out different types of eye products and e.l.f. is a great way to try them out affordably. I don't like to invest a lot into a product when I am not sure if it will work out for me. I hadn't tried  an eyeshadow stick out before these and they are definitely worth a try.

I have two of these sticks in the shades Turkish Coffee (top color) and Little Miss Thing (lower color). When I first got these products I wasn't really sure how to use these properly. I gave them a try for awhile but they seemed to crease really easily and fade away after just a few hours. I kinda put them to the back of my makeup organizer and forgot about them. I recently came back to them and decided to give them another shot.

I have been loving using Little Miss Thing along with my Urban Decay Primer Potion. The primer makes the eyeshadow stay all day! I also have been loving blending the two colors and putting Turkish Coffee in my crease. The primer makes all the difference! These products are available for just $2 on the e.l.f. site and comes in five different shades.

I would definitely recommend trying out these eyeshadow sticks! At such a low price point you just cannot go wrong! Just be sure to have a good eyeshadow primer on hand to experiment with these.

Suave Moroccan Dry Body Oil

Suave Moroccan Dry Body Oil Review

I decided to give this product a try when it was on sale at Target for under $3. I like the idea of a body oil to replace my body lotion I use to moisturize after showers. This product is unique from anything else I have and was worth the try.

The product is infused with moroccan argan oil and has a really nice, light scent. The directions say to "spray all over body or massage into dry skin for an ultra hydrating experience". I have used this product many times after showering to moisturize. The results are great but this requires a lot of product. I have also used it a lot on my hands when they get dry from washing them to much. I really like the product for this purpose.

The packaging claims the product drys instantly. From my experience the product takes several minutes to dry and then some to full absorb into the skin. This was my only disappointment with the product. The product is available for $5.99 at Target

This product is worth giving a try as the price point is low enough to experiment with a body oil. The results are great, just be prepared to have to wait for the product to fully soak in before getting dressed.

Revlon Photofinish Foundation Review

Revlon Photofinish Foundation Review

I had heard a lot about this product on YouTube like many of the beauty products I try. I knew I had to give it a try when I found it on sale at Rite Aid for $3.67, originally $14.69! There were only two shades available for this amazing price and luckily one of them was a match for me. I was so excited to give this product a try after getting such a great deal!

The product lives up to all the hype I had heard about it before finally giving it a try! I am in the shade 002 Vanilla which is the perfect match. The coverage is medium which I personally like. I am not a fan of super full coverage foundation just because I hate that "cakey" feeling. This foundation is definitely buildable if you desire a more full coverage look. The product has a pump which is always a bonus in my book. It also has SPF 20, this product has it all.

Overall, this is a great product! This is available at Target for $11.79. I would highly recommend this foundation for anyone who like a medium coverage foundation. This product has quickly become one of my drugstore foundation favorites!

Maybelline Fit Me! Powder Review

Maybelline Fit Me! Powder Review

This product is probably my all time favorite translucent powder. I have repurchased twice now and the product lasts a considerably long time. I have the shade 100 which is the translucent powder in the matte + poreless formula. I believe this product makes all the difference in the lasting power of my foundation.

I use this product on an everyday basis typically with my e.l.f. powder brush. This particular brush is the perfect size for the job and works very well with the powder. As this is a matte powder it really helps to give my foundation a matte look. It is a very lightweight formula which makes it extremely easy to wear. I also really like the packaging; it comes with a mirror and sponge applicator in the bottom portion. This makes touch ups easy even on the go.

This product is  $5.99 at Target and available in a wide variety of shades. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who uses a pressed powder on a regular basis. This is by far the best pressed powder I have ever tried, give it a try!
