Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Review

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Review

I had heard a lot of great things about the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe texturizing sea salt spray. My hair is naturally wavy so I generally use some sort of curling or texturizing product daily. I decided to give this product a try and see what all the hype was about.

This texturizing spray is infused with dead sea salt and sea kelp. The scent is somewhat beachy and very pleasant. I dislike any product that makes my hair feel "crunchy" or hard. This product did not do that at all! You can use it on both wet and dry hair. Typically I would use it on damp hair to add texture to my style. I finished off my first bottle and intend on repurchasing! The Beach Babe line also offers a shampoo, conditioner and texturizing cream!

I purchased mine at Target for less than ten dollars. This product can be used on all hair types therefore I would recommend it to anyone. It creates a great texture and wave without the "crunch" at a great price.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara Review

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara Review

I have found my new favorite drugstore mascara! This is the Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Flared Mascara. I have the Very Black shade in the waterproof formula. I purchased this product about a month ago from Target for just $5.00! Maybelline mascara was on sale two for $10.00 but normally the product is just $5.99. I have been using it almost everyday and have fallen in love with it!

My new favorite eye makeup look is liquid liner with curled lashes and this awesome mascara. The wand is flexible with a curved brush which really creates the flared look. I typically use just two coats and my lashes look long, full and flared! The formula does not clump and dries somewhat quickly.

Give this mascara a try ladies! I recommend this mascara to anyone who wants a awesome flared lash look for a great price!

The Wet Brush Review

The Wet Brush Review

Let me start off by saying after trying The Wet Brush I refuse to use any other brush! I have extremely thick, long and wavy hair. I have always hated brushing my hair out after a shower. I have heard its best to use a comb on wet hair but that is not an option for me as it would take upwards of thirty minutes for me to get through all my hair! The Wet Brush is safe to use on wet or dry hair making it the perfect solution!

I heard about The Wet Brush a TON from YouTube beauty gurus. Many said their easily tangled hair was easily brushed with The Wet Brush. I had to give it a try! I actually purchased mine at Target for under $10. My sisters and I all got one! The Wet Brush quickly became a family favorite. My sisters both have thick, wavy hair like mine and it works like a charm for us. My mom has thinner, straight hair and she is also a fan of The Wet Brush. It makes brushing your hair wet or dry a breeze.

The Wet Brush is available here for just $8.99. This brush changed my hair care routine for good! I highly recommend you give this a try if you have ever struggled with tangled hair or simply hate combing through your hair after a shower. You will not regret it!

Detangle Tips: I always brush my hair through in the shower after I condition my hair with a "shower comb". This really cuts down on tangles afterwards. I ALWAYS use a detangler spray to further prevent tangles. A super cheap one does the job perfectly fine. I like this one

Eye Makeup Remover Reviews

Eye Makeup Remover Reviews

This post is going to be a little different. I am gonna talk about my experience with several eye makeup removers. Prior to purchasing eye makeup removers I simply used makeup remover wipes. About a year ago I began using the Lancome Bi-Facial Eye Makeup Remover, available here. This is an AMAZING product but $29.00 for a product that you frequently repurchase is a little much for me. After that I began using the Equate Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover, available here. I repurchased this product several times simply for the low price point. This product works well and at only $3.97 I recommend giving it a try.

After running out of eye makeup remover and moving to an area without a Walmart I decided to give a new product a try. I chose to try the Maybelline Expert Eyes Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover. This product is $4.49 and is available here. This product is marketed to remove waterproof eye makeup. The product does a decent job of removing eye makeup but leaves behind an extremely greasy residue. I typically wash my face after removing my eye makeup yet even after this there is a greasy feeling. I will not be repurchasing this product.

I purchase the Garnier Clean + Nourishing Cleansing Oil about two weeks ago and fell in love with it! The day I purchased it I was swatching my other new purchases on my hand and decided to give this product a try to remove it. I massaged the oil on my dry hand, wet my hand which emulsified the oil and patted my hand dry. The products were completely gone! There was no trace of any of the products including two eyeliners. I was excited to give the product a try later that night. The product can be used a facial cleanser as well. I have been loving the results I have gotten from this product the past two weeks. It has a pleasant yet really light scent and leaves your skin feeling clean but not greasy. This product has quickly become a favorite of mine. It is $5.99 and I purchased mine at Target on sale for $4.89. I will most definitely be repurchasing this!

Do you guys have a favorite eye makeup remover I should try out?

Clarisonic Review

Clarisonic Mia 2 review

I got a Clarisonic for Christmas three years ago. It was the gift I really wanted and I was ecstatic when I received it.  The Clarisonic is a facial cleansing brush that can be used with any cleanser. I saw tons of magazine advertisements for the Clarisonic and heard a lot about it on YouTube. I researched the benefits of the brush and decided I needed to get one. I have the Clarisonic Mia 2 in the black leopard print.
I use mine each night as part of my night time routine. I love the results this gives me. I feel like my face is truly clean and this brush makes all the difference. The actual brush is available online here for $149.00. My boyfriend purchased mine at Macy's and they are also available at Sephora and Ulta. The only downside of this product is you have to replace the brush head about every three months. You can purchase the brush heads on the website for $27.00 or two for $44.00. I usually purchase generic ones from Amazon for around $12.00. They work just as well but are less than half the cost. That makes the downside of the product okay with me.
I have been using the sensitive skin brush heads for about a year now. I have had the best results with this brush head. I have pretty sensitive skin an this works well for me. The brush is waterproof and must be charged about every two weeks from my experience.

Overall, I recommend this facial cleansing brush to anyone looking to add to their skincare routine. It gives you a deep clean feeling and removes all makeup residue. It is worth the investment!

I also wanted to share the cleanser that had worked best for me with my Clarisonic.  This is the Clean&Clear foaming facial cleanser in sensitive. I have been using this cleanser for about two years and have had awesome results. I have semi-sensitive and slightly dry skin and this works great for me. It is a foaming cleanser so it works very well with the brush. I actually use all three products in the line; the cleanser, toner and moisturizer. They are available at any drugstore for under five dollars each!
